1HD-FTE EGR / Heater removal

Has anyone got any experience in the complete removal of the inlet "meter run" on a 1HD-FTE. This entails the EGR butterfly valve and heater set up as per the attached pics.

Does this cause any fault codes to be generated? Does the ECU cause the engine to run in a "detuned" manner?

Im sure someone has done this before.

nobody at all ? iv done the same ... iv got a engine check light on

I suppose that it's caused by non reading air volume intake and temperature at that piece, causing error to ECU, there will be some kind of relocation to ensure properly reading for that sensors.
