I had these made some years ago for a project that I had in mind. The fabricator has since retired and moving forward with the project with this design isn't feasible any longer.
These intercoolers started life as an off the shelf unit and then manipulated to suit my needs. This meant cutting off the inlet and outlet and re-configuring them.
These replace the extension tube and 90* elbow which directs the air from the compressor to the intake of the engine.
These were mocked up on an engine outside of a truck.
Because of the size of the core there is a conflict with shutting the hood all the way. You will need to notch a rib in the hood or install a hood scoop to make room.
they are supplied with a simple EGR Modulator bracket to relocate the modulator to avoid contact with the intercooler.
Another possible conflict is with the hard line for the brake booster. You would have to section that hard line and install a re-einforced soft line to route around the end of the cooler.
Being that it sits on top of the valve cover, re-routing all the vacuum lines and various wiring will be neccessary as well.
I believe these are the only issues with physically installing the intercooler on the engine.
Additional items to complete the system are not included and are the responsibility of the buyers. I am however available to answer questions and for guidance to the best of my knowledge.
A local guy has already bought one and I'll pass on any info that I have as to his install.
