My 99' 100 Series Landcruiser started running rough at idle and even at cruise back in November of 25'. About 20K miles ago I had 8 all new plugs and 2 new coils installed so I suspected it might be something in the fuel system. Eventually engine code P0308 came in (#8 cyliner misfire). I was going to remove the injectors to replace outright when someone mentioned to try fuel cleaner additive and that worked amazing .... for a few months .... then it would return to rough idle, etc. This battle has gone on since then until the last month when the roughness is persistent regardless of fuel additive and the engine light stays on. Given the help with fuel cleaner additive and the error code I'm fairly confident the #8 injector needs to be removed and cleaned perhaps replaced. Since I'm in it I'll remove all of them to have professionally cleaned and flow tested. Just wanted to mention this is case anyone knows more about this and can steer me differently - like should I changed the fuel filter too or the fuel rail dampener - things like that? I think I read somewhere on here that cleaning injectors is often all they need don't need to replace them usually? Thanks for any advice or things to watch out for including dissambling or reassembling.

I did the fuel filter earlier this year and it runs a lot better. Much better throttle response
