Found this on CL Northern MI. $3750, lockers, desert dune/moonglow bottom half i think. Doesn't list miles but interior wear looks minimal. Less rust on trucks in northern MI than south usually so might be a great start for someone.

Here is the image for reference later. Cheap locked 80's do happen

I'm searching for an 80 series so I ran a carfax on this (with license plate #). Carfax says it has 205k miles as of Dec. 2016. One minor accident. Registered in Louisiana until 2005 (Hurricane Katrina vehicle? But Carfax does not indicate problem title). Then to Michigan.

Unfortunately, it is a few hours away from me, or I'd check it out for fun, but that's a bit too far.

Too bad it doesn't have a snorkle, then that hurricane would be a non issue :grinpimp:

I’ve been talking w/ the owner. 207K miles. It’s going to need some brake work, there a couple oil leaks, exhaust leak - possibly manifold, timing chain replaced about 100K ago. Birfs done about same time. One accident down south with prior owner. This guy is the 2nd. No issues since his ownership. Says frame is in great shape. Leather is in much better than average shape for a 200K+ LC. One small bubbled up rust spot on rear window. One bubbled up rust spot above windshield. Trying to find time this week to run north for a peak.... He has it sitting on a corner car lot about 2 hours north of me.

you mean head gasket??

been looking for a cheap locked 80 to star t building for my oldest. He is 11 so no big hurry...but I would be up for a cross country road trip soon. My parents live about halfway between Denver and this truck...

And it's gone. @ElviMcCoy , did you get to see it? Don't be giving up on that sweet 60 now.

Michigan (especially northern) rivals anywhere for beauty. I'd have bought you a  on your way through!

This truck was pretty rough underneath. (Pics from owner) Like make it hard to work on rust. Good price still though

Why doesn't Toyota do a better job of rustproofing their vehicles (especially luxury SUV's)? Planed obsolescence??? :bang::mad::confused:
