1995 4runner idle speed problems.

I have a `95 4 cylinder 4x4 5speed 4runner.

and the Idle speed is rather low. around 500 RPM. first off, is this a bad thing? second. how can I fix it, can I just put in a idle screw? or is there something more I should do?

Check your plug gaps and whether or not they're not gapped right or a plug-wire's shorted out. Then check the timing.

If all that checks out, there's an idle adjust screw on top of the intake at the throttle plate.
