Haven’t ran my 80 much in the last two months so took it out today for some exercise! You got to exercise them at least every few months! 😄🤙

Did well over 100 miles on dirt-gravel today. Took a bunch of videos too, will post some.

Western racer? Western water snake?

My sunroof rattles when open, need to rebuild it. 🙄 My exhaust ends under the cargo area so it is semi loud. I don’t mind it, almost like it actually but do have a bolt on tip to get it out from under the Cruiser. I just smash it off-road so have been running without it for some time now. You can hear in this video how smoothly my 1FZ revs from 2-3k rpms, it’s such a joy to drive on the backroads! 🤙

I have been helping Rosen out a bit the last few years so they gave me a set of visors. This is their newest style-version.

Engine bay is a bit dirty but the 1FZ continues to perform excellent and has given me zero probs in going on 20k miles.

I am going to sell this Cruiser at some point, another year or two with it maybe, somebody will be stoked on this one when I move on that’s for sure!

So I bought these for my 80 UTE build. Thing is I won’t need them for awhile, most of this year or more.

My 315 Yokohamas are getting pretty beat, not so much from miles but from wheeling. Lots of chunks out of them, sidewall cuts, ect.

I want to run a 17” wheel on this Cruiser for better selection of tires. So I am going to run these KMC wheels until the 80 UTE is on the road.

I picked up a set of 35x12.5r17 Goodyear Boulder MTs for my next tire on this Cruiser. It was soooooo tempting to go with 37’s but I just don’t want to open that can of worms on this Cruiser. I like how it drives now with low lift, stock gears, decent power, ect. The 80 UTE is for big rubber and rocks. I almost went with the Nitto MTs but just decided to try the Goodyears this time around.

By the fourth wheel I had a good method down for assembly that was far faster than the first.

The Goodyears though have a huge lip at the bead edge.

Due to this I need beadlock ring spacers. I ordered those up and they should work with my drain holes on the beadlock rings.

I got all four mounted up though to make sure they work and to seat all the beads.

Here they are next to the Patagonias which are a 13.5 wide.

The Patagonias do measure 13.5 with sidewall bulge and the Goodyears are definitely a solid 12.5” wide on the 9” wide wheel. Both have the same tread width which is 11.5”.

Those good years look great.

Twas dark when I finished up, will take some more pics tomorrow. So far only had them up to 40mph but they ride nice and no balance issues yet. Which by the way I have done zero to balance them yet.

Looks killer.

Same thing happened to me with KMC beadlocks. Drove about 500 miles, even at freeway speeds with no problems, no balance. Balanced them anyway just cause I figured I should..

Did another drive home after dinner, not above 40mph though. Really like both tire and wheel so far, it’s certainly a different look though.

Cheers
