I've been searching, on here and Google... and can't seem to find an authoritive answer.

Will my 1992 TD HDJ81 have 12 volt circuitry or 24 volt?

Anyone know? :)

Thought i read somewhere that they start on 24v, and run on 12v. Don't own one and can't say for sure, check the diesel section, those guys should know... You're like a kid waiting for santa to show up... that's awesome!!! LOL:p

Hehehe... yes, I am

I need to plan in advance though, if it's 24 volt (ie. headlight circuitry) then a standard DRL module won't work and I'll have to rig something up with 24 volt relays.

Thought I would update this post in case in the future people are searching for the answer.

Yep, you were right John, 12V running... keeps the batteries in parallel, then a solenoid switches them temporarily into series for 24V start. Even the winch is 12V.
