1991 Fj80 transmission jurking (1 Viewer)

hello Everyone new to the forum. Need some help I just bought a 1991 fj80 with 150k engine in grate shape just had a lot done as far as maintenance.but what has not gone away is when I shift it into drive it jerks once moving it shifts nice and smooth when is top and put it in nutral and then reverse it jerks again.

I have also noticed when I accelerate it vibrates but when I take the foot of the gas it rides smooth. Any help would be greatly appreciate it.

Have you checked your ujoints?

Everything under the car is as tight as could be solid drives perfect key straight no swagging at all. ujoints as well

search "driveline clunk", pretty common in 91's and 92's. Don't know about the vibration though.

My 91 has a very harsh engagement from N to D as well. Pretty much normal as stated above , the vibration on the other hand if concerning - how does your transmission fluid look ?

Ujoint just replaced it problem solved.... Thanks eveyone
