Got the car painted. Super stoked with how this came out for the price I paid

"The tow company had to brake the steering wheel lock to get it on the truck"
No, they didn't. That's a sign of a very bad tow company that has to further damage a vehicle to recover it with a flatbed.
The tow company should be financially responsible for breaking the steering lock and all parts associated with it.
Agreed 1000%. Any to truck driver that cannot get a rig on his bed, centered and straight even if all 4 tires are locked up... Should not be allowed to drive a tow rig. The result of his incompetence is no different than willful vandalism.

Mark...

Been a while since an update-
Recently I had to do the rear axle seals, and redo the rear brakes. I also had a bent power steering pulley, so had to replace that as well. However, brought the car on its first long road trip! Took it for a weekend in Mammoth Lakes for some skiing and winter camping. The trip was about 6 hours each way. My camp setup is pretty primitive right now, and we just use a mattress on the floor in the back. The plan is to build a sleeping platform and storage setup before I go back to Mammoth in a few weeks to make it more convienent and comfy. I also have developed a pretty severe power steering pump in the return line, so that's next up on the repair list.

Also huge shoutout to K&H Imports. I went there off recommendation from these forums, had them do a baseline, and couldnt have had a better experience. Very reasonable rates, and trustworthy work.

Started building a sleeper setup for my 1991 with the purpose of making my weekend trips to mammoth easier. I've got the basics of it constructed right now. I've got to cut a few more holes so we can access some more of the storage thats not usable right now, and then do some sanding and throw some outdoor carpet on all of it! We got to test it out this weekend and it worked great, but I need to come up with a solution for the condensation at night.

Does anyone have the part number for the AC Amplifier for a 1991? When the car got stolen it came back with non functional AC, and it looks like they took the amplifier out and probably sold it. I can’t find an exact part number for the 91, I think it’s 88650-60081, but the Toyota parts website says it’s not a fit
