After running a tests with my multimeter, the E2-Vc connection on my AFM reads as 0 ohms. It also seems as though the metal arm that controls the fuel pump shut off switch has carved a path into the original circuit? I had lots of issues with bogging and rough idle when my truck was running and think this may have something to do with it. Is it fixable? If not, any reputable links for aftermarket units? Worried about cheap eBay products.

you need to be checking voltage and sweep voltage. the fp doesn't use the ribbon, its just a switch.
the terminal vc should show 5v key on.
terminal vs should sweep from roughly .5v to 4.5v. if it drops out or does change voltage smoothly, the meter is bad.
resistance testing doesn't mean anything without amps.

fc should show 12v key on fc to e1 should be 0 ohms when the meter is cracked.
