Had a fun day today. The transport went well and the offroading was fun. The Land Cruiser was once again surprisingly capable, on some obstacles it even outperformed the Unimog on 42" boggers, and it was of course fun to meet some other offroaders. I got stuck twice, almost tipped over twice and almost sank into a lake once, but I made it without breaking anything. The power steering fluid turned into milkshake though, and the alternator brushes might have some premature wear. The only thing that broke among all cars was the rear drive shaft on a Suzuki SJ410, which wasn't a surprise as it's barely bigger than my PTO shaft. Now it's back to the workshop, not to fix anything after the drive like I had expected but to get it roadworthy and to rebuild the front drive shaft. I noticed yesterday that someone had removed the grease nipples from the universal joints, so they probably haven't been greased for god knows how long, and now I've filled them with mud water instead.
