I have a 1987 Celica with 3SFE engine that won't start. I have checked the ignition sytem and have good spark at 10 degrees past TDC. I have fuel through the fuel pump. Timing is right, all fuses check out, spark plugs are good with decent wires. I checked the codes and came up with a intake temp sensor, will this cause it to not start at all? It turns over just fine but just won't fire. I am sure this isn't the right place for this one but I fiqured this would be my best bet for an answer.

Thanks,
Dino

I tried shoting some starting fliud through the intake but got nowhere. Would the air intake temp sensor (part of MAF) cause it not to start at all? I would think that with starting fluid it would give something but it didn't fire at all. When i pulled the number one plug to see if it had good spark It was strong could see the spark in full sunlight.

Fuel, timing, spark and compression. Those are the essentials. Is it possible that the timing belt shredded. Look to see if the camshaft is turning. You've ruled out 2 of the 4. On to the next... Good luck
