1985 toyota 22r truck

i am working on a 85 toyota truck with a 22r, have no oil pressure at engine start up and idle until you increase engine rpm to 1500 or so. replaced engine front cover and oil pump for issue and still have same problem. have 20-50 castrol oil in engine

Have you changed the oil pressure switch?

Do you trust the gauge?

Where are you connecting it?

matco oil pressure guage and connecting where the sender screws into the block

also have replaced main and rod bearings
