just wondering if in any other market the bj70 came with a subtank, ie oz...japan etc, and if they're still available

I would recommend contacting Dave Stedman @ Japan4x4. Dave will probably be able to look it up and see if the part is still available for order (purchase) from Toyota. Also from personal experience, I know that Dave can source parts that are not available from Toyota parts in the US or Canada so he is a tremendous resource.

I dont think it shows one in the EPC. In other models like the 75 series ,the sub tank is a 70 series tank and they have a totally different shaped main tank behind the cab.

No sub tank from factory for 70 series, no where to put it. If you need extra tank for 70 series you can swap out original with larger tank, and a few other places in OZ had extra tank that went underneath between frame and drive shaft.

only reason the 75/79 series pick up and troopy had two tanks is they had room under floor on pick up (primary) and spot in back is aux tank (where main tank is on 70 series). On troopy the primary tank is where back seat floor pan is on 70 series and aux in in same place as main tank on 70 series.
