I purchased this car roughly 3 years ago from a guy in Tasmania who used it as his daily driver. he told me he bought it from an old lady who bought it new and did a few trips around Australia in it. I then drove it back to darwin where it has been my daily driver ever since. Sadly I have to downgrade to a later model car for my business
the car is still registered and doesn't expire until 20th of February 2016!! (9months left on it!) (side note- into the items specifics above it says first registered in 1992. this is not true but it wouldn't let me put 1984 in. so i just put that so i could post the add.)
ABOUT THE CAR:
The 3.4L 3B Diesel Engine has very low Km's at only 187500. drives beautifully and just purrs at 90-100km⁄hr on the highway no drivetrain noise or transmission problems. the transmission is factory 5 speed and has second gear stick to change into low range. everything has been regally serviced and maintained with major service of diff oils, perishable rubbers⁄belts, wheel bearings, rear drum brakes (see pic of the amazing attention to detail) all done in the last 2000kms. Original steering wheel looks great and has factory power steering. the engine bay is very tidy and clean. no random wires hanging around looking daggy.
The Interior of the car is in perfect condition and i have not seen a better one! the dash is 100% no cracking all factory stickers are there. original seats have a small tear along the seam but i just use the sheep skin and never had a problem super comfy in cold or hot weather (picture shows damage on my youtube video). floor mats are in useable condition with only a small wear through on one side. I have built a professional camping storage system in the back, which has a spot for your Engle car fridge (fridge not included), dual battery, camping gear and tools are all hidden away under the false floor. if you want to bring it back to the original 5 seater look it is easily removed (I do not have the rear seats for it tho). the stereo plays cassettes, FM, AM and sounds very good and has a classic look to go with the car. door panels are beautiful no holes cut into them for speakers just the passenger side needs a rubber handle replaced ($15 on ebay) headliner is not sagging and is in good condition. car hasn't been smoked in.
(i also have a factory nipodenso air conditioning unit that is not fitted that I'm willing to sell with the car if the buyer is interested we can work out a price for that)
The Exterior of the car is where it needs a little work. the body needs a few minor rust repairs (which is very common in a car of this age). problem areas include the bottom of the rear barn doors. where there has been rust i have primed so would not get any worse. bonnet has a few little rust holes. THERE IS NO STRUCTURAL RUST PROBLEMs the chassis is very clean. the window seals are in good condition too. i fully restored the licence plate holder and it looks amazing. the tyres have around 60% of the tread left. spare wheel mounted on the rear door. car comes with service manuals some factory tools and a lot of nice factory booklets. (too be clear some of the photos are of the car with the old spotlights and the roll cage fitted last year. at present the roll cage is off and i have upgrade to the 80w cree light bar). the bezel and toyota badges have been restored and look mint. so yeah i can't say this car is 100% showroom quality because of those minor defects but it is close to being there. (i also have a factory Thomas PTO winch that is not fitted that I'm willing to sell with the car if the buyer is interested we can work out a price for that)
