1984 FJ60 H55F Swap Questions

I know I’m going to get told to use the search function, but I just want to confirm some stuff before buying all these parts and tearing down the truck.

I have a North American spec 1984 FJ60. I have read through some threads where people mention needing a different crossmember while others have said the only thing I need compared to a 85+ swap are resized driveshafts.

My questions are:
-Can I use original 85+ driveshafts as a direct swap? Are the flange bolt patterns different on 85+ trucks vs. previous years? I had read this but want to confirm
-Do I need a different crossmember?
-Do I need a new Transfer case shifter?
-Is there anything else I am missing to do this swap quickly and efficiently on a 1984?

Shouldn't need a new cross member. Think in the linked thread he tries to use original trans case shifter but ends up swapping it for a newer

• Longer Transfer Case to Transmission Bolts (4) 90119-12047 (3) 90119-12047
• 5th Gear Oiler Cup (1) 33124-36010
• 5 Speed Shifter and Shift Knob (1) 33530-60160 and (1) 33504-14050-B8
• Transfer Case Linkage - From Late 85' and up.
• Transfer Case Linkage Pivot Shaft From H42 (H55 doesn't come with it) - see pics
• Transfer Case Shifter from Late Model 60 (not used in this write up) -see later posts #34 & #38 by @klinetime574 and post#63
• Gear Oil - 2 Gallons, I used Sta-Lube GL-4
