I finally ripped out the driver side seat with a fight today, I had to take a hole saw and cut off one of the rear bolts of the seat. After that was removed I was able to rotate the seat enough to get to the remaining bolt.

And I got an idea of floorpan arrangement to cover all the holes.

I know i previously mentioned replacement floor pans, but from your pictures I think smaller patches would be possible as it seems like the rust areas are serious but not massive. Either way, might be worth doing the acid wash to neutralize the rust so it stops.

Due to the rust in the A pillar and windshield frame I think that patching properly would be a lot of effort for the quality of the cab. I do intend to neutralize the rust so it doesn’t spread though.

I’m planning to go back to the guy I got the truck from and see if I can find a better cab for future use.

After some deliberation and consideration, I believe I’m going to abandon this project and part it out. I’ve come to the realization that this truck isn’t a good starting point and I have too many projects. I also determined that the 22R in this truck is most likely junk.

I bought a ‘68 Pig recently that I should put my attention and effort into. So if anyone needs parts let me know. I’m going to be keeping the MC adapter and the axles out of it in case I find an IFS truck or Samurai later. In retrospect I should have just kept the 2nd Gen I got with this truck and fixed it.

I do want a 1st or 2nd gen truck still but I need to find one that’s in better shape and less work to make it useable, and greatly reduce and finish all the projects I have currently.
