For Sale- 1982 BJ42 LX that i bought in Oz this winter- it just got here and is registered in NJ- these are the photos i bought it from- had it inspected and it even has one confirmed kangaroo kill! i think it tramatized my girl friend, but she toughed it out-We drove this all over from ACT to melbourne-This is a real beauty- all original-minus the rims- it has factory Power Steering, Air Con, the 3b Motor is strong and sounds great- interior is immaculate. It is getting incredible mileage! I bought this one from a mechanic in Oz who, by looking at the rig took great care- it has 237k on the speedo which i would say is correct-The frame is solid and has no rust- The aluminum rims in the photos were not included in the sale that is why the other photo shows white rims- tires are about a good half tread, there is one rip in the drivers seat- Little damage in the rear passenger quarter, the driver side back door has some rust in the lower rt side- and the passengers side has alittle surface rust on the same spot- It would be out of this world with a new paint job-this will be the Job of the new owner- this way you know what the issues are- no cover ups here. The surface rust on the hood was not there in oz but 45 days in the sea container must have caused it-There is no I planned to keep it, but i got alittle carried away purchasing my troopy and will now sell it to an new owner- It is great and worth the $ - i have alot of great photos of this truck- so please email me with any questions or feel free to call- matt white 1.609.618.7606- email is recycling@comcast.net-

I bought it

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have purchased this vehicle. Mostly because I feel I got such a great deal on it and it was in such great shape. The seller, Matt, has at least 1 Troopie and another BJ40 for sale. He was more than honest about the condition of the vehicles. While the other 2 (there may be at least one more) are not in as good a shape as the LX I bought was, they are still in very salvageable condition. I would, as with any purchase strongly recommend you actually go see them first hand, I particularly liked the Troopie and if I had the extra 10K or so, I would have certainly picked it up also. If you visit to look at the vehicles make sure you take time to see it. The vehicle I bought near Atlantic City and drove it home to Northern Virginia with out a single incident. And with it being diesel, it took less than half a tank.
