Well, I hate to do it but I have decided to sell my 1981 FJ40. I have two young kids now, a busy job, and have only put 300 miles on it in the last two years. It needs a new home with someone who will appreciate it.
It is a 81, with out power steering and no AC. IT has the original interior, but has been rhino lined and had some rust patch work done. I still have the original floor mats, and everything else except the original radio in storage. It still has the original 2F, and runs/drives well. I was using it in 2007 as a daily driver during the summer. Since the body work it has not seen salt (2005)
The body work is not perfect, it has a few rust bubbles starting to show. My grandfather did the patch work while I was living out west without my permission as I had bought it as a project vehicle. I would say its a good 10 footer, better than some FJ's, not perfect.
The girl has 85,300 miles on the odometer, and I have very extensive repair records, the last owner was a documentation nut and only had Toyota OEM parts installed on it.
I am asking 7,000 or best reasonable offer. The FJ is located in my garage in Ishpeming, MI (Just out side of Marquette in the UP of Michigan). The best way to reach me is here, or by phone: Nine zero six two zero four two one nine two ask for Joe
