Hi everyone,

Two of you have called and told me to list here so here goes. The crown jewel of my inventory for some time to come. I have a Freeborn Red 1981 BJ44V. Being a "V" it has the L-Package interior and exterior trim which you can see in the photos. It has 43k and change km and based on the condition of the vehicle and the facts of its history it jives

20150118_164300.webp 20150118_164300.webp 20150118_164300.webp . Regarding said history it was purchased in Sept. 1981 by the President of a resort hotel in Lake Akan in Hokkaido. It was also supposedly used as a snow plow although I cannot verify that. I do have the ownership history and other than me and the persons I purchased from this has been a one owner for 99% of its life.

Some highlights of it's condition and a little insight about how it came to be preserved. It has front and rear seat covers that fit great and because they use what looks like shoe strings and hooks appear to be original. Front seat covers have on them printed a grille and "Land Cruiser". Aft of the front seats is a green plastic that was cut and sewn to shape and it extends all the way to the rear of the truck. It fully covers the tan factory matting which as you'd imagine is in excellent shape as it hasn't seen the light of day for a long time. The door cards have what the experts at ACC Toyota here in Atlanta deemed to be the original pre-delivery clear plastic covering. There are Fujitsu Ten speakers in the doors (no idea if those were an option or not. There are some additional levers and pulls on the dash but they look factory as they are factory items. The truck does have some areas of the chassis which have chassis paint but this must have been done as a preventative measure as there is no corrosion underneath. ACC Toyota came to the same conclusion if you want a 3rd party opinion. The factory PTO does not appear to have ever been unwound very far. The A/C blows nice and cold. The paint appears to be mostly if not all original. The glass and seals are in excellent condition as are most accessories and components. Tires are Bridgestone Desert Duelers and although in amazing condition may be original.

If you want me to go into detail about the spec of a BJ44 let me know. I'm going to assume you all know the basics. I does have front discs and a 4spd but does not have power steering.

Due to vehicle being older than 1986 the state of Georgia will not issue a title so a bill of sale along with export and import docs will be provided. Original manuals with service records are also present

Beautiful. I wish my 44 was 1/2 this nice.

Good lord what a gorgeous truck! With the available cash (which I hope to have in a year or two), I would buy this in a second. I had a '79 BJ44 that I loved dearly and sold. It was a survivor that while fantastic, was not remotely as pristine as this one. GLWS - she's a beaut!

I gotta say again - as someone mildly obsessed with the MWB and LWB Land Cruisers, I've seen lots of 'em go by at various price points. While this is a lot of coin, it seems that for what you're getting it's worth it. Bump for a sweet rig!

This BJ44V is officially sold as of today. Sold for 48k. Thank you.
