Hi All

I have a 1981 BJ40 which has Drum Brakes front and rear. Im currently undergoing a fully restoration - New Tub; 1uz with Manual Conversion; New Suspension etc

My Attention is now with the Cars Breaking System.

I like the look of the Wilwood manafrelv conversion but they cant confirm its fitment to the late model landcruiser. I intend to upgrade the brake booster as well but unsure as yet to what ?

Perhaps some one on ih8mud can ? Or what is the best solution for an uprated braking package ?

I would seriously consider swapping for the disc brakes from a 60 or early 62 series. Get from the kuckle out on a donor vehicle. Parts are interchangeable with your drum setup.

Can get the 60/62 brake proportioning valve and bracket at the same time from the donor.
