Hi,
I have a White 1980 BJ40 for sale on Ebay. There is no reserve, and the current price is $13,500. The auction ends Monday.
Thanks for checking it out. It's located in Costa Rica, where I live, though I'm from the US. I do have references from previous customers who have bought from me. Shipping to Houston or Miami, plus customs fees is included in the winning bid price.

FYI i plan to take photos of this vehicle as it is. Then photos of the restoration. Then final finished photos obviously. I dont see any other way to do it. Will the final product be cheap? mmm. no. haha.

I agree with Crushers this has nothing to do with US or Central or South America. we have craigslist right?

A 30 yr old vehicle has undergone many 'restorations' or customizations over the years and that is where the problem lies. we will see if i am loco or not.

Also though I see no problem if someone wants to buy something AS IS.

Hi Charlie, nice looking cruiser there... I like that you are going to document through photo's what you are doing to you vehicle(s) etc. refurbishing a vehicle is not really a hard job... Especially if you have the right people etc... I am sure your guys are experienced...

One this I know when I see Restoration or Refurbishing etc... Even if you say Frame Off etc... The body / metal should be stripped down and not "re coated" with a new color of paint etc... Yes it is a new finish etc, but it is not a desired finish etc. in the states, we have places you can take metal parts, frames, car bodies etc and dip them in solutions to remove everything from the metal... Paint, oils etc... Do they do that down there...?

I like the idea of cheap labor and understand what you are saying... If the photos document what is done to the car and your buyers are satisfied, they will pay your prices. If not, then you might have a companion for Esmerelda... Lol only kidding. Once your reputation is established, you should have no problems... But any bad press could have bad results...

My .02 anyway... I still am looking for my first cruiser... I have a line on a 40 now and should know something soon if its going to work out... Hopefully... Do share your pics of he work they do... I am curious if there is any differences... Good luck!!

Has anyone ever dealt with cruiser_importer seller on Ebay? I am looking for a cruiser in FL and don't want to get caught up in messy transaction. If one of you more experienced members can steer me in the right direction it would be much appreciated thanks!
