I was doing some preventative maintenance changing my plugs and wires and could not get the coil wire out. It finally came out but ruined the cap in the process. What if any are my options. Thanks...

I bet you can work the leftover end of the terminal out of that socket; small needle-nose pliers, roll it in on itself, it'll come out.
Thanks but I kept working with it and now the cap is ruined. Have to look for other options.

Think I've got a spare cap, but you'd have to buy the dizzy too...

I don’t really know what to look for except for burn spots or worn spots. If you say it’s good I’ll go by that. I would need it shipped to: James Wade 43 Rose Arbor Court. Newnan GA 30265

If it ain't broke don't fix it is a good lesson to learn early, took me a while.

My 72 came with a Delco dizzy back in 82. I sort of "rebuilt" it in late 90's. Last year it was worn out - lot of slop in the shaft. I bought the chinesium one from Amoron. PIA to install, wrong o-ring seal. My old real NAPA cap and expensive wires fit right on - ran great for a week, then the points arm bent. Put in real Delco used parts for dead dizzy - been running great ever since. Love the straight mechanical advance.

You should scrape the aluminum terminals inside that cap - the oxide layer (an insulator) gets very thick an engine will act like it needs a tune up. Brass contacts are way better IMHO.

Use a q-tip to apply a little thin layer dielectric grease to the contact holes on the outside of cap and the inside of the spark plug boots to lessen the bonding from the heat.
