Parting Out 1979 FJ40 in NC

The 79/80 had a shorter console with a separate rear heater bolted to the rear floor like earlier models. 81+ had the rear heater under the console and ashtray on the back. 81+ models without a rear heater had the 79/80 console. Do you need a picture showing the difference, I have both types.

I need both types. I picked up the 81+ version with the ashtray on the back on ebay. It showed up in pieces and isn't usable. I prefer faded and cracked since I don't plan to use it for a project but not in broken pieces. looks like the OP of this thread has the older version so I will be buying that one. Now I need the newer larger version with the heat underneath and the ashtray on the backside.

How about the left (driver side) hood apron?

Hood aprons are rusted too.

Spare tire carrier is stock. It mounts to the body on the driver side. I will get a good pic.

Thanks for send the pic. I already have holes cut for a passenger side carrier so I'm going to keep looking.
