What does the “resonator” do before the muffler, never seen that in parallel to main pipe 🤷🏼‍♂️

In a nutshell... it cancels drone and makes for a much smoother "performance" sound. Magnaflow and Borla are known for this design. Been around for several years.

This is a split backflow design. Reduced rumble with all the performance flow.

Magnaflow and Borla have write ups and vids of this.

The resonator does not tie directly into the muffler. It is "looped" prior to the muffler.

Very interesting, thanks.

Stainless brake lines are almost complete. We'll tie into master tomorrow.

Transmission lines are run and shifter bracket is installed.

Radiator arrived and will get it set and plumbed in tomorrow.

ESTOPP and steering box arrived late today and will get those set for install and wiring tomorrow.

Upholstery is coming along. Should be done next week. Love that black Paloma leather. Expensive but gorgeous IMO...

Didn't get the trans lines to the radiator mated up or the final brake lines done, but we modified and cleaned up the harness. Loomed and installed the engine and transmission harness.

Steering box, pitman and lines are installed. Need to tie into the hydroboost side.

OEM shifter cable and bracket installed

Axle vent lines are installed.

ESTOPP is laid out and waiting on the 2:1 cable bracket to finalize.

AC and heater line bulkhead fittings are on the way. Restomod Air system is enroute.

Body is set and going to check everything one more time before bolting it down, but shouldn't need to pull the body again for any reason.

Radiator is set and I'll get the trans and brake lines finished tomorrow. Drew the firewall block off plate for the heater/blower port. Will be using a billet 2 piece grommet to run the wiring loom through to finish it off.

I’m intrigued by how you stated “SS exhaust kit.” Is it a generic kit, or specific to the engine application, or ??

Magnaflow designed this kit for the Scout II with a LS engine and 4/6 speed auto. It literally took us less than 30 minutes to install.

Short morning.

Made up a fan shroud for the Wizard radiator. Using a SPAL dual speed 2800 CFM brushless drop in style fan.

Hoses are modified.

Firewall block off and clamshell mount is mocked up. Get this cleaned up and off to powder coating.

Pedal bracket is made and bolted up and ready to install to firewall.

Restomod AC system should be here Thursday and then on to the mock up and make custom mods for dash vents and then to the gauge modifications.

Fan shroud is finished and set with SPAL dual speed fan.

Battery and tray are set. Used the 78DT vs the 24 (Scout call out) less weight and more CCA. But can accommodate up to a 31 if ever needed now. Plus the side terminals clean up a lot of future add-on wiring.

E-STOPP is installed and modified.

Hydroboost, trans and brake lines are all finished.

Run the trans and Atlas vent lines in the morning and body will be bolted down.

Engine bay is coming along. Started running the Portland Wiring harnesses. Body is bolted down.

Restomod AC system arrived. Will start laying out the condenser and heater hoses.

4.5" Speedhut triple gauges should be here next week and then to make a new gauge faceplate and start modifying the dash panel for the new mods to come.

Just being lazy and sitting around...

First gauge cluster mod file is drawn. I'll cut the first one and bend and see what needs to be changed.

4.5" gauges for the 2 main and trans temp for the small middle. (turn signals and high beam are built into gauge faces)
Double DIN touchscreen receiver
AC Vents
CEL & 4x4 indicators
E-STOPP button and USB

I'll probably make a few versions until I'm happy.

What steering joints do you like using, I’ve read some experience less than stellar longevity from a popular brand?
