Someone lives too close to SOR

That was me, Louise and Devonshire. I remember going to Marv’s house before the store to buy parts. Fun wheeling there close by, Browns Canyon

I bet the Valley has more parts hiding too

Yes, me too... Louise and Burbank :D

Me too! Been there for the last 33 years, Louise and Chatsworth! I remember driving down the unfinished section of the 118 between Balboa and DeSoto when it was all dirt back in the early 80’s!

And yeah, when Marv couldn’t find something in the store, we’d drive to his house or the self-storage to look.

I was going to him from before his store opened, I think it was a Recycler Ad I called or Man A Fre referred me to him for something. He had so many parts, I was in awe. His employee's were a little harsh on me but friendly enough. They were annoyed easily lol.

That's crazy there's two people on Louise here lol. I was 16 in 1981 and driving my FJ around the Valley doing stupid s***. There was a really nice Black FJ 1965 at the top of Louise on Renaldi, and then me and my buddy both off Louise had FJ40's. They were popular then, all the cool trails. There used to be a hill called "Widow Maker" at the end of Rinaldi that one night, I tried to make and ended up doing a 180 turn coming down. Glad I didn't roll! Good times, guess that is all houses now.

There was that whole undeveloped section north of the 118 around Tampa we called Tampaland. First place I went when I got my Blazer in1980. Those were crazy days. My buddy took his GFs slant 6 Dodge Dart out there and wheeled it backwards up the hills it wouldn’t make in Drive! :hillbilly:

See, us Valley dudes on the South end would go up to dirt Mulholland and go all the way to Topanga, or drop down hiking trails into people's backyards then hightail it outta the Encino or Tarzana Hills before Joe Friday showed up!

Good ol' daze ...

That's it Tampaland! Browns Canyon, yep.. being chased out (or gambling and going deeper in) by Police Helicopters at night right? Man we had some close calls up there

And I wheeled a bit in the south too! I used to work at Cafe Casino on Ventura Blvd and explored, but it was restrictive there for sure! But I never got chased out by Helicopters lol
