Front Seats

Been a couple of weeks since my last update. Things have been going slow because of the weather. Looks like the build is getting ready to pick up. Got the front seats back. Look really good, now just need to wait until we get the tub on

Frame

Got the frame back from sandblasting and painted with POR15. Axels are also ready. Ordered BFG 33x10.5x15 M/T from Tire Rack and received them today and will try to get them on by this weekend - that is if the steelies are painted and ready. HFS 2.5" lift springs and 1.5" shackles are primed and ready to be mounted. Shoud have a rolling chassis by this weekend:steer:

Where'd you get your wheels from?

Looking good. You will love those tires!

Thanks guys.

Mike, the suspension is HFS (Hell For Stout) that I picked up from CCOT. Here is a link:

They appear to be real heavy duty - can't wait to drive it to see what the ride is going to be like.

Thanks,

Status Update

Seems like its been forever since I last posted an update on the restore project going on here in NW Arkansas. I think the guys in the shop were hurtin' in the 115* weather we have been having - I was hurtin' just walking from my office to the truck in the afternoon. But progress has been made thanks to these guys and their endless effort of priming & blocking. They finished painting the tub today and should have the remaining parts completed by tomorrow afternoon. Then the real fun begins - assembly!

With respect to the paint - I had 3 different shops pull the code for Dune Beige 416, and guess what - they were all of a different shade; no grey, too grey, and one just right. Not sure if the Iphone camera does the paint any justice - but I think the shop got the color right on the first attempt. I'll try to post some quality photos over the weekend when I go back tomorrow for my daily "How's it goin' guys!?"

Until next time

TUB IS ON!!!

What a milestone :bounce:

I am freakin' stoked to be at this point in the project. Time to complete the puzzle now boys!!! Hopefully I won't be waiting for 2-3 weeks to post updates. Top and bezel have yet to be painted. Props to the guy (Brian) doing the grunt work - he has been really patient throughout this process. I'll post more pics later but at least wanted to snap one with the phone and get it posted.

Thanks and have one on me!
