1978 FJ40 for sale, really, REALLY hate to sell it, but I'm currently in school and it just doesn't make sense right now. Here are some specs:
Engine/trans/tcase:
SBC 350 w/ Holley Truck Avenger and AL radiator
TH400 with custom shifter and B&M cooler
AA adapter to 4-spd cruiser t-case
AA propeller T-case mount
Recently rebuilt front axle with:
30-spline longs
Aussie Locker
Aisin hubs
shaved drain plug
plated cover
Solid tie rod
Extended d-shaft with 3/8" tube, takes abuse!
2" spacers (w/ 4.5 in. backspace wheels, wide track with safety bead on correct side)
relocated breather
Rear axle:
Aussie locker
2" spacers
relocated breather
Suspension:
Minitruck front suspension, relocated approx 8" forward
U-bolt flip on front
rear add-a-leaf
rear u-bolt skids
Interior/Safety:
Full Metal-Tech installed cage with frame ties
Beard Seats, 5-pt belts, all tied into cage
Custom locking center console
Fully redone dash with VDO gauges
Rhino lined
Small air compressor
Misc/other:
Fully rewired using ALL new components, all relays and fuses easy to access and diagnose, NEVER had any problems
Warn 8274-50 with NEW Winchline.com 100' 3/8" rope and AL fairlead
Grill and engine roll hoops/shock mounts
35" MT/Rs, with 35" pro comp spare
Summit Fuel Cell in back
cb/CD/speakers
Saginaw power steering, with box tapped and will include assist kit, just needs to be welded in
A ton of time and money have gone in to it. It's a near perfect wheeler, and has always worked well beyond my expectations. It's wheeled, lived actually, in 3 states (OR, TX, IN), and has handled all terrain well. Miss wheeling in the NW the most though!
