Bought this about 8 months ago as a project while business slowed during winter (I work for myself). Did some of the work, had some of the work done by a local Toyota mechanic. The idea was to have a good driver that could handle the trails but could still be driven on the street. It is just that.

-Excellent frame (body was taken off and frame was completely coated by PO)
-Very good body (some filler, but straight and rust free)
-Minimal rust on lip of hood and bottom of headlight panel
-All glass is good, doors are OK (some rust on the bottom).
-Painted about 5 months ago in the original color.

Done in the past year:
-battery
-fuel filters
-clutch slave cylinder
-brake master cylinder
-brake calipers
-brake pads in front
-steering coupler (rag joint)
-radiator was recored and patched (does not leak, never runs hot)
-upper radiator hose
-sanded and coated the interior of the tub (3M spray rubber coating)
-replaced speedo cable
-new seals on front doors
-new tail lights
-rebuilt wiper motor
-rebuilt electronic ignition from Davis Unified Ignition
-added jump seats

I use it every day, it is my daily driver. Power steering, disc brakes, it's easy to drive on the street even with 35 inch tires. I drive it at 55 mph on a regular basis without scaring myself or other drivers.

Known issues: E-brake is missing the plate at the firewall so it is currently inop. The turn signals need to be fixed, I suspect the stalk is acting up since the hazards work fine.

I get thumbs up everywhere I go and I would gladly keep it. But we currently own 4 cars and I need to reduce the fleet to a more realistic number. Asking price is based on what I'm seeing out there, but I am open to offers.

Asking $8,200, here is the CL ad: http://lexington.craigslist.org/cto/3939641628.html

Mileage: 150XXX miles (believed to be original if title is to be believed)
Clear KY title in my name

Pictures show not wiper arm, they're back on the windshield.
One piece tail gate included in sale.

Thank you! It's OEM parts that were swapped in (box, reservoir, hoses). I kept the original, non-PS box and can include it in the sale.

What type of locker does it have?

To clarify a few things:

the body is pre-ambulance doors, so fitment is mediocre on the doors. I bought a tailgate for it and if I still have the FJ next week, I'll buy the rear hatch to go with it. I'll paint and install both of those instead of the ambulance doors.

I've contacted the PO for the few things I didn't know, but he is not responding to texts or phone calls.

77's came with ambulance doors...so is the body a pre-75 body or are those just late model (1/79-later) ambulance doors?

Unless an early body was swapped-on, I would guess the ambi doors are for a later model truck and that is why they don't fit well.

Cruiser looks good.

Thanks, honestly surprised to still have it. It runs very well and the cosmetics are quick fixes (most will be done next week, I bought a hatch for it).
As far as I can tell, it's a 1972 body (give or take), it's set up for the 1/2 tail gate doors. The top is set up for ambulance doors. That's what happens when someone has 3 different FJ's and makes one good one! ;p
