I love the ICON builds look with the powder-coated body, they look amazing in person. I am still 50/50 powder versus paint, though.
They do look amazing..

But, If I can be so bold….Its easier to “touch up” paint vice powder coat. We went with a base clear for that reason.

Rest assured, the world is full of parking lot vixens with shopping carts and bad attitudes.

Unfortunately, this project is coming to an end for me due to a family emergency that will take up my time for the foreseeable future. I have decided to list my rig for sale. First offering is here on mud before I list elsewhere. I really hate to see this project go, but I hope that someone will benefit from my loss and have an amazing rig.

The project is currently located at the Rust Doctor in Grand Junction, Colorado. Jason and his team are amazing individuals and have been a pleasure to work with so far. They would be happy to continue the project for anyone or get it ready for transport. This will be an amazing rig for someone. If you have seen the build by @Scheck44 you know how this thing can come together and stand out amongst builds. I have $45,000 into the project right now and would let it go to a mud member for $35,000. Please DM with any questions. Thank you.

The owner of 4plus has powdercoated several FJ40's and beats the heck out of them without a chip so far. He has pics in one the threads on here somewhere. Like anything, it is all in the prep. Was going to do like ICON and do several layers of powder epoxy primer then the super durable cardinal industrial PC on top few layers. But, that was before. Really hoping someone can take this off my hands and build a hell of a rig.

Some assembly required for the HT to Aqualu windshield frame…😎
it's quite difficult, and I was never satisfied with where I got it. When I rebuild that truck it's going soft top.
Not a criticism just curious why the full powder coat on the body?

Well, when I did it, (2004, before Ward had ever done it) I couldn't find anyone who wanted to paint aluminum, but the PC guy just shrugged. Inexpensive, too.
