Note: This FJ is not currently firing up properly. Ran strong one month ago.
Classic 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, mostly stock, with original 2F straight six engine, 4 speed manual transmission, 4x4. Purchased from Arizona in April 2010. Very little rust. Drum brakes. Driven less than 25 miles since purchase, and driven less than 100 miles by previous owner who purchased in 2001. New paint from previous owner with some dings and scratches since. Previous owner also rebuilt transmission, replaced dash, door inserts, windows, windshield glass, front seats (no head rests), rear jump seats (recovered), and black rubber diamond plate (replacing carpet). Tires are in decent shape per inspection by Kramer tire in Chesapeake.
Since purchase, I have replaced the fuel pump and had other minor work done at DRS Automotive in Norfolk. Also purchased soft top (black), rear tailgate (white), replacement emblems, and other items from Specter Off-road. Purchased recovered running boards (green).
Currently, no hard top on this FJ. However, I have the original damaged side panels and rear ambulance doors. I also have a recovered 1979 FJ40 hard top, side panels, and rear ambulance doors in white that fit perfectly. Some minor rust on recovered side panels.
FJ also has front tow bar, rear tow package, spare tire mount. Odometer reads 99,723 but the actual miles are unknown. Passed Arizona emissions before purchase and is currently registered in Virginia. Title is clear and in hand. Receipts available for more than $10,000 in restoration work.
