1976 FJ40 Toyota Landcrusier with original 2F inline 6 cylinder, original 4speed manual transmission, original carb. 73,xxx original miles. Idles nice and even, no problems with the carburetor. I bought this car about 2months ago. It was an impulse buy and I thought I would have the time to add things to it. However, I am a flight school student in the Army and I do not have the time for it and I really need a daily driver. I bought this truck exactly how it is. I think I am the third owner. Don't know much about the history of the truck. The only thing I did was a new master clutch cylinder, brake rotors, and pads ($600). I have all paperwork for what I have done.

Black Rhino lined inside and yellow rhino lined exterior (not hood). Most of this FJ is original. All new wiring and a new fuse panel installed professionally. Speedometer is accurate, heater/air condition works but not connected. It was done by the owner before me. It only has a bikini top so a/c not needed as is. I don't have a hard top and it has soft half doors. 4WD works great.

Awesome 35" Mickey Thompson tires in great shape. It has a lift, just dont know how much or what brand. I bought it the way it is. Brand new brake rotors and pads up front. Brand new master clutch cylinder. All fog lights work. This FJ doesn't have a radio, but is set-up for it. I have brand new lap belts for the car, just haven't had the time to install them. They will come with the car, along with small parts I got with the truck and the owners manual.

It is very mechanically sound, strong running, great 4WD w/ manual locking hubs. Two Best Top leather bucket seats up front and one rear bench leather seat that faces forward as opposed to the old jump seats that faced the center. It will make a very dependable, mostly original FJ that can be further restored as much as you would like.

I'm asking $5400 OBO. Clear title. I'm looking to sell asap so I can get a daily driver. I have only put about 300 miles est. on the truck, if that. Its a cool truck to drive, but I need something more realistic to drive everyday. Please email me at niko.temple@gmail.com and I will respond. I am not going to put my number on here. I will not ship.

I will provide any pictures on request. I don't know how to load them on here. I am located at Ft. Rucker in Enterprise, Alabama.

Will consider a trade for a Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee or a F-150 (can be lifted w/tires, but doesn't have to be)

I have another post of this vechile, it it my truck. I just dont know how to delete the other post.

Price has been lowered drastically to sell now!

Thanks!

I'm a flight student down here as well and have seen the truck around. Good pickings on the lemon lot around here lately as we have two FJ40's on the lot. This is the much more reasonably priced of the two.

That said this is an off-road buildup truck. Very mechanically sound from the looks of but not a candidate for a full resto or a daily driver. Over all in good shape. Good looker beyond 50 feet. It does appear to be a 4" lift with springs and the tires are as stated. Doesn't appear it would need anything to hit up a lot of the easy trails and mud that is all we really have here in the south and I've seen it driving around and sounds like and accelerates just fine.

Just throwing a honest oppinion out there for it.

By the way if you don't sell it I finish my P2 check ride on Monday (if all goes well) and have a couple of half days off before I start instruments and if you want I'm going to head out to B&B to flex out my suspension on my LX450.

If you want me to post some pictures up for you you have my e-mail from a couple of months ago when I inquired about it on Craigslist and I will post them for you.

Thanks for the post man!

I'm open to offers, as long as there not low ball offers. Found out today there is a minor trans leak.

I want to sell this, so I'm going to lower the price again to $5000. Someone buy this, I dont need it!

Pics...hopefully

The panels are all good except under the passenger door, which has some rust developing. Not a lot but its there.

Lets see if these work::popcorn:

i dont think it was sold but i could be wrong but buyers name was a bunch of numbers like the ghost bidders do

All ebay auctions show up as a bunch of letters and numbers now to protect the identity of the people bidding. The only people that see the real ID is the person selling. They started doing that over 2 years ago to protect bidders from being contacted by other people with similar items to sell...I didn't see this auction, I'm just explaining why it looked like a "ghost bidder".
