Hello All.

Unfortunately, I am a poor college student, and in need of a more efficient car. I have worked on this FJ40, and even converted the 2F engine to fuel injection. The engine was rebuilt prior to us purchasing it, restored from 2007-2011, fuel injection was installed 2012, and we swapped out the original transmission to the split transfercase style. The front brakes were upgraded to disc brakes, has a 6 CD changer AM/FM Radio, with cassette player. All electronics work. It is still a 4-speed, but it runs well. I just need something more efficient, contact me if interested. I am asking 20k for the car, I am open to negotiations and trades.

But please understand that it pains me to have to sell the car.

If you don't owe anything on it, swap motor out and put diesel in for $4000 and get 25mpg....dont sell it...you'll regret it....nice 40....

Don't you sell that! You will regret it! Took me two years to find my restorable fj, yours looks real clean.

Go get a Kia or a Hyundai lease for $99/ month, park the fj on no-op, finish your school!

If I could do it all over again:

1. Finish college degree in my 20's, not my 30's with a family.

2. Never sell fj I had as a family heirloom. That fj will give you so many memories. Don't lose that chance, they are getting harder to find.

I am living in Chico where these pictures were taken, and currently am a college student. I was wondering if you still were selling the Fj.

Not sure about the $$ but contact Luke at 4x4 Labs in Grass Valley about the diesel conversion. Good guy and he's close.

Price Update

Hello, just reminding all that this car is still up for sale. I left from Merced over the winter break, returned and now am with the car still. Anyone have any new offers or interest?

Wow, Nice looking 40... Sorry to hear you have to sell it. :crybaby: I like the ideas of the $99 dollar kia etc while in College as opposed to selling you rig. GLWS anyway... :deadhorse:
