Hi,
Time to sell one of our cruisers. It's a 1975 FJ40 with 2F and 4-speed. Bought it last year and have had no time to enjoy it since. The previous owner installed/removed the following:
New radiator and cap, thermostat, thermostat housing, and hoses
New alternator
Weber carb
Jacobs electronic ignition unit
Electric fuel pump
Poly gas tank
Line-X spray-in bed liner inside cab
Painted exterior, interior and hardtop (green)
31x10.50x15 BFG Rugged Trail tires, ~95% tread remaining. Older spare tire and wheel included.
Warn 6000lb winch
Most of the smog equipment was removed
Sunroof with removable glass professionally installed in top (no leaks)
When purchased the vehicle had a Kayline soft-top installed. This was removed and the hardtop installed with a new seal kit and hardware when we received the vehicle. The soft-top has been in storage for the past year and is still in very good condition. The rear jump seats are not currently installed, but are in good shape and are included in the auction. Front seats are well worn; seat covers are used to address this.
Over the past year, we have rebuilt the carb, installed a new water pump and installed four new Procomp 3000 shocks with new hardware. The cruiser drives well, but smokes a bit (possible leaky head gasket?). We haven’t driven it enough to worry about it yet. All lights work. Electrical system is good. Front heater not installed, but included in auction.
