Thought I’d share some photos and videos from my 1973 restomod. My buddy did all of the work on this and it took 217 days, if I remember correctly. Vehicle was purchased from a guy in New Mexico a few years ago. Body was in decent shape. No rust, paint was okay, the 327 in it needed rebuilt. I was originally just going to do an engine and trans swap, but decided to just do a lot more. I started keeping an Excel sheet of all the parts, where they were purchased, cost, etc., but I kinda stopped halfway through and need to finish it. Here’s a video playlist my buddy put together:

Here’s some info:

5.7 LS1 from a 1999 Corvette with 65,000 miles.
4L60E Transmission
Original three speed t-case
Saginaw power steering
FJ60 front disc brakes (done prior to the build)
Sound deadening inside and in the doors
Corbeau front heated seats
Little Passengers rear bench seat matched with the front seats. Did the same to the dash pad.
Vintage Air A/C
4 Plus front and rear Bumpers
4 Plus Family Cage
Baja Designs pods in the front and rear
Nomad 15” wheels
All new weatherstripping
Dakota Digital guages
Focal Audio throughout. There’s two 10” subs under the rear seat and the amp is mounted under the Tuffy center console. Single din CarPlay in the console as well.
The list goes on….

If you have questions, you can contact my buddy through his YouTube channel. He’d probably love to hear from you.

well done - I really like it! did you powder coat the hubs? if you had told me about it I probably would have cringed a little but it really works well with the wheels
Thanks! He just color matched the paint. I actually stopped following along with the build about half way through because he wanted it to be a surprise, so he did a big reveal once it was all done.
