1972 FJ55 roof replacement

I have a 72 FJ55 in need of a new roof.
I have located a potential replacement however it is from a 73 FJ55.

so, my question is "can you replace a 1972 FJ55 roof with a 1973 FJ55 roof?"

You will be cutting ALOT of spot welds off.

most people cut at the pillars and graft it on that way. no need to cut spot welds.

must be a CA rig? seems yours rust from the top down up north they rust from the bottom up.

It's do-able but a lot of work, as stated I would cut all the pillars, maybe in half and graft new section to it.

been out of the loop for awhile. bought vehicle in 2006 and joined Ih8mud soon thereafter.

truck has been in storage for last several years.

now have some $$ to fix roof as well as some other items. Vehicle is now at Mudrak Custom Cruisers awaiting new roof replacement. too big of job for me to tackle

very perceptive regarding rust since it was a SoCal truck.
