SOLD SOLD SOLD
I am selling my 1972 FJ 55. It has a 1978 2F engine. Runs great. Has a newly Jim C rebuilt 75 CAN spec carb. I have had this for about three years now and have went through and cleaned up a lot of it. It has rust in the usual places. All lights, blinkers, guages, etc work. Interior is in good to better than average shape. Good headliner, seats, guages and switches.

Four speed on the floor.

I bought a 74 and am looking to fix that one up and let this one go. I cant have two. Well, I could, but I don't have the room. If you are close and want to come and drive it give me a PM. IF you want more pictures let me know and I can send them to you.

Still looking for a new home.....

I'm surprised it's still for sale - it's on my watch list if I can ever get my 80 sold..... good luck and free bump

I'm interested... would you trust this to drive to SD? I might be able to get a car trailer also

I have had several people ask about driving it to places...Colorado, San Diego:eek:, Oklahoma....etc.

IMO it would make it. But it would be a slow HOT trip. There is no AC in the rig and it tops out around 70MPH but prefers to cruise along at 55-60.

When I bought it, I drove it from Edmond to Wichita and that is about 2.5 hours. It was the hottest day of that particular summer and it made it....it is in much better shape now than it was then....

Since I have had it I have had Jim C build me the carb, fixed a cracked intake, solved a overheating heating issue, and stopped an oil pan leak, etc....so it has sat waiting on parts and fixings a lot. I have driven it all around town and out to the lakes around here several times, but never a great long extended trip....

So to honestly answer your question, to the best of my knowledge I beieve it would make it, but I wouldnt want to tell you yes for sure and then it have problems.

I can tell you that is running better now than it ever has since I have owned it.

Thanks for the interest. I am sure someone will pick it up sometime...in the mean time, it enjoys the flatlands of Kansas!
