Up for sale is my 72 40. Like most rigs here, there is much to list so below are just the highlights. Feel free to PM or email I30tMIked@Hotmail.com for any specific info of pics.

$10,500 and located in Oklahoma City

Great body with good paint and no rust. Fully bedlined inside and under. Had fame off resto at some point. Frame is coated.

SBC 350. Has a cam with a nice lope at idle. Holly carb. Edelbrock intake. Good compression. Runs strong and never over heats

700R4 trans (4spd auto w/ overdrive). Has a mild shift kit and shifts great. Auto w/ overdrive makes for great over road driver

Saginaw PS and front disk brakes (late model conversion)

4" lift. 33" tires with full spare. 4+ tire carrier. Warn 8274. High lift jack. 4wd works fine.

Corbeau Seats. New seat belts. Roll cage. CD player and rear speakers. Black canvas bikini top and back vinyl bikini top

Have hard top, which is in great shape. Just needs to be put back together with hardware and weather stripping then painted to match body. But no rust and rain gutter in perfect shape.

Everything works except odometer, which never worked since I have owned it. But not really an issue with this type of rig that does not have the original motor anyway.

Runs great. Tracks nicely down the road. A great weekend warrior that has taken me on several 500+ mile trips without one problem. Never abused under my ownership and always garaged. has a few small oil leaks and burns a bit of oil between changes but a overall solid truck and is ready to enjoy

could you post some pics of the hardtop and engine? nice rig! good luck....bump

Did you end up rebuilding the engine or is it still the 350 that you mentioned was fouling the spark plugs every 1k miles?

What are the compression numbers for the cylinder as it sits now?

I'm also interested in hardtop pictures and general engine bay pictures. Thanks.

No, I did not rebuild the motor. I ended up taking it to a local performance tuner in OKC that I know and he went over the motor for me. The main thing he did was tune my carb which made all the difference in the world. We put a wide band on it and it was so rich at idle and through the rpm band that it would not even read (less than 10:1). I had put a brand new carb on last year and I just adjusted the idle screws to get a good idle and never fully tuned it. We went down several jet sizes and switched out springs and I had no idea the amount of power I was missing.

He felt I could have been running rich enough for fuel to get in the oil and thin it out enough to cause some of the plug fouling. We switched to different plugs, switched to a different oil, replaced valve cover gaskets, rerouted the breather line, and then the tune. Put a few thousand miles on it since and things are good.

I don't have the compression numbers written down, but we did both a dry and wet compression test and it was fine. Only a few % different between cylinders. I would not say the motor is in brand new condition, it does have some blow by and I do have some small leaks but it is running strong and there is no need to tear into it.

Below are some pics of the hard top. Sorry they are not the best pics
