Hi, Im sad to say that I need to sell my fj 40, due to the loss of my job. I need to make my house payment! Please understand that this will need some minor work to get it 100%. I currently drive it everyday. IT NEVER HAD a/c. #1 question lol. It will need the windshield wiper motor. The original bench seats have some tears. work fine though! The whole 40 has been stripped and painted in POR-15, then had the truck bed liner painted on the floor. Has been updated with front disc brakes from a 1978 FJ 40. Custom made bumpers. The front one has a brush guard with two KC lights. It is missing the dash pad, needs driver side window regulator, The hard top is in great condition. I did not plan on selling this, so I was still in the process of working on somethings. Please understand that this is not going to be a BRAND NEW vehicle. This is a older truck with points, and a carbarator. There are many modern jeeps out there if your not very mechanically inclined. I dont mean to come off as rude, but i have gotten several emails from people expecting A/C and in perfect condition. This is great daily driver for me, and probaly for alot of land cruiser enthusiasts. This cruiser has the long jump seats, Im able to put my two kids car seats and two more people as well. This is includes HARD TOP AND HARD DOORS, as well as SOFT TOP and SOFT DOORS. On the hard top, the right side corner glass was cracked so i got a new glass and rubber molding, i just have not installed it yet.
This one had minimum rust, the areas that had rust were the bar across the back floor, which has been replaced, and there was some rust on the drivers floor board, that has been removed and been replaced with 16ga steel. The third spot that had rust is on the hard top its about the size of a dime and has not been touched yet. Upgrades to this 40 include I used a front axel from a 1978 FJ 40 for the disc brakes. I'm currently driving it with the 3 speed. Recent new parts include brake rotors, brake pads and caliphers. New U joint, starter, fuel pump, air filter, plugs, wires, cap, roter, and points. New water pump and new clutch slave cylinder, clutch slave/master cylinder. Also new brake booster plus master cylinder. Custom bumpers front and rear. I have a saganaw power steering kit, that I have not installed. The reason for not installing is because I'm looking for a double grooved pully to run the pump. I love this 40, its always getting compliments, I drove it to work everyday this summer, but I lost my job and it needs to go, please call if interested.
Thank you,
Billy
