I have a 1971 FJ-40 project that has been sitting in my garage for far too long. I am in the process of collecting parts to transition to a 3B/4-speed. It is partially disassembled right now. The good: FJ40 is 95% complete with hardtop/doors/liftgate/pto winch. I do not have the 1F/3-speed, instead, I have a 3B/4-speed/spit case ready to drop in. So far, I have collected new 3B motor mounts, a used transmission cross member, 3B radiator and shroud, and a later model BJ40 steering column. Front seats are bucket (not stock) with custom seat frame. Has a Tuffy center console with Pioneer stereo and Bose outdoor speakers. Also has compete PTO winch set-up with 3-speed transfer case gear box. Stock wheels with hub caps and good tread on the tires. There are a few extra parts that come with it. Bad: Partially disassembled, just waiting for someone who has the time to pick up where I left off. There is some rust on the body but is not bad.
