Keep going your work looks great!
let us know if dows calipers work nice on the front, have an Idea to place 4runner calipers the same way for an axle that I have at home.
are you goin to run 33´s or 35´s

cheers:beer:

35" mtz's is the tire I plan to run. The calipers I am running with the brackets from jt outfitters is for a 84 monte carlo. It only works with that caliper. I am sure they will work great, they line up great after a little grinding!! Even with the jt disks I had to grind down my hub flang, just a cun* hair. Rock out:beer::wrench::flipoff2:

Moving forward!!

Oh ya you have to grind a tab off of the calipers too. No harm those.

Well this is what I did today, I pulled the front clip to get it ready for paint and clean up the rust at fire wall. I was thinking of line x ing the inner finder walls for the engine compartment, but I think I should just paint it white original (alpine white). Give me some feed back on that. Well tired of typing so light the right end!!:wrench::flipoff2:

History on my pig

This was my uncles 55 since 82 he bought it from a doctor from flordia that has taken this cruiser over seas to aferica on a hunting safari. Cool or what! The last time it was on the road was in 93. Since then my uncle has used it on his river land down in Sumter County SC on the Wateree River. I remember camping on the river riding in the back seat hunting coons with a spot light Q bean. Shooting out the rear driver side window with my .22 at two shinning eyes looking back at me. Good times when the world turned little slower. Well I think I was about 13 at the time. I am 26 now and it seems like yesterday. Who knew I would be to one restoring it? So this is the true story of my pig, Cant wait to drive her again!!:wrench::flipoff2:

How do I post a pic by my name? Avatar?
Go to user CP at the top of the page on the left (just under the forum links) there should then be an avatar link on the next page. You can link a URL or upload a pic of your own but there are size limits.

Are they enough to stop a Pig on the front?

They should work fine, I asked the guys at jt outfitters the same question. They use this same set up on some of there rigs runing 40' tires, I will just be runing 35' tires so I am sure they will work great. 95% better that the old drums you know what I mean. Cant wait to try them out!!!! :steer::cool:

Just drained the old oil from the F engine, holy crap the oil comes out fast it almost over flowed my drip pan. Should be a warning placard above drain plug, "Causion huge stream of oil that comes out fast". How many quarts of oil go in the f engine? I know alot came out. :)

Front Axle about to go in SOA

Working on the front suspension today. I put the springs on with new bushings, I will be setting my pinion and knuckles tonight I hope. I desided to have a local machine shop cut my front knuckles, so I can set the pinion angle, weld on new spring perches, then set the kunckles to o and ticky them in place. Then pull axle back out and have the machine shop put a good strong weld on the kunckles, and perches. I will post some pic soon. :)
