from what i've experienced in the past, shipping part to hawaii has to be done voa airmail since surface (truck/train) is not an option.

do you need a complete case with all the bells and whistles? just a bare case? case with gears?...????

what's wrong with yours?

get ahold of lavarunner he has one/or will shortly on one of the islands. he is getting a 76 so it would be 4 speed and transfer

i ran it out of oil. it started to make that sound. towed back, filled up, and now it whines all the time like a high pitch downshifting whine. Was hoping i could just bolt on a replacement, and then rebuild mine. Never done it so was hoping for a back up plan.

misnomer, NOW ups/Fedex sends stuff "ground" to hawaii. Actually what happens is the box sits at LAX (what ever shiping terminal) untill there is space on the overnight plane.. then it comes over so they arent shiping cali air over wasteing money. Mke since? however FEDEX ground is like 50% cheaper the ups brown.

well, if it's constantly making a high pitch noise then i'd say the gears got wasted when you ran it out of oil. i would'nt even bother rebuilding that case but you might want to hang onto it for parts.
