How hard is this gonna be to fix?
 
How skilled are you? If not how much have you saved up?
 
More pics of the rig might share a better route. Do so.
 
What about some under chassis pics? Is the rot in just that place in 1st pic? Or much more? What are you going to use it for and what level of restore?

Just that 1 spot is bad rest is surface rust. I have another FJ40 that I have spent a ton on. Bought probably 12k of stuff from Rick at btb. But the body is ruff. Really ruff. Im driving it. Plan is fix the blue ones body an then swap
 
If you are not skilled, I would take the tub off and take it to a body place and see what they can do.
 
That’s fixable. Find a good metal guy.
 
Sand blast that area to see what if any Swiss cheese exists in that area
 
Dry Home Depot play sand or pecan shells type works well. Good resipirator is a must!
 
That will sandblast well. The dash is homebrew of some sort. Wonder what’s going on there!
