Hiya,

I'm finishing up a rear disk conversion with a kit I bought years ago from Poser. Putting it all together, i find the outside brake pad is really tight on the rotor. It take a good amount of effort to turn the rotor by hand. As I look at the bracket, i see there's a gap on the caliper pad side, and I can probably remove the gap and ease the tightness on the outside pad if i remove the spacers that came with the bracket. Anyone who's done this conversion ever had this problem? Or is the rotor supposed to be that tight and after a few miles, it'll loosen up a bit? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks! ty

I did front disks on my F150 - the spacers made everything too tight and it burned everything up; re-did without spacers and every thing was fine. IMHO take them out, run it for a while. You can always add them back in - taking them out might be too late.

Is Poser still active?

Have you stepped on the brakes yet? The piston should take up the innrr gap. The rotor should spin somewhat freely. Is the outer pad seated properly in the caliper?

Thanks! from what I can see, it looks like everything is on as should be. I figured the caliper pad would adjust when the brake is applied. However, i just think the outer pad is too tight and i should take the spacers out. I did the warn full floater plus disk conversion years ago on the pig and don't remember the pads being as tight as this. Never had this problem on any of the front disks either.

Probably remove the spacers and see how it goes.

This kit was bought years ago when Poser was still active so i have no clue if he is still at work or if the kit is available any more.

best, ty
