Hey guys,
I have to face facts that the 40 can't hold me and the family and gear in comfort. It's time for me to look at something bigger. I'm looking to get $5500 out of her, or trade for an 95-96ish FJZ80 or LX450 with factory lockers.
I've got a skidplate on the way.
Here's the write-up. Let me know if you think it's a realistic price (I want to have it sold by May so no big rush).
1969 FJ40 Toyota Landcruiser - $5500
No smog needed. Ever.
Registered until January 2012
Can go 70 on the highway
Runs great, taken it to Las Vegas and Los Angeles
4wd high and low work great
Original F engine
Full roll cage
33” tires with spare
Warn locking hubs
3 speed on the floor
No cancerous rust, some surface rust on dash
Full hard doors and half soft doors
Bestop bikini top

· 84 Toyota mini-truck brake booster and master cylinder for good power brakes
· FJ60 large cap distributer (professionally rebuilt and recurved) and FJ60 ignitor (no more points to gap) (waterproof and prevents internal arcing)
· Pertronix flamethrower coil
· Magnacor spark plug cables
· New Trollhole carburetor and new throttle cable
· Larger aluminum radiator
· Tachometer added
· Later model Toyota bucket seats with seatbelts
Extras
· Hard top panels (top, two sides and rear, all separated with some rust)

· Front bumper connected tow bar

Bad
· Windshield wipers have a short and are intermittent
