Been a Cruiser nut for decades but never actually opened an account so...I’ll throw up some current builds going on now in my collection.

This one is a 1965 fj45 that is actually a ‘64 that sat on the lot and wasn’t registered until ‘65 so it has the brass tag on the vin plate.

This one is my gem...it is mostly all stock with some added resto-mods for comfort, looks & styling. It has a converted 4 speed from 3 on tree, put a fully rebuilt 2f motor slightly bored over, 2-3” Old Man Emu suspension/lift With 33”BFG’s on stock rims/caps. The transfer case bracket was notched so you can lock hubs and shift into 2Lo, 2Hi. It has LED headlights, will have electric power steering, A/C and mostly stock interior. Color is 2017 Toyota Cement.

enjoy...

Wow man - VERY cool. Super impressive build. I built a 1963 SWB, not as nice, but was a lot of fun. (Link in my signature). Looks like a great shop, too!

Welcome.

I usually gravitate toward the original/purist builds, but I have to admit I really like this. Practical and Toyota, NICE work.
Thank you! I usually stick to all original but these two builds are my absolute passion. Love the old split back window 45’s

I had a lot of fun, too. I recall having to use black gasket maker and hand made "forms" along with the old rear window gaskets to try to fabricate new ones. What did you do for rear window gaskets?
These were the original ones and got
Soaked in Vaseline to soften up And reuse.

Do you have any details on this - maybe a different thread? There’s a number of us in this boat.

You clearly have been doing this for some time, thanks for sharing your build stuff. Look forward to more postings. My build is a “get it running and back together” as much as possible at best build. Even that’s way beyond my skills and parts inventory capabilities, 😆.

Test fitting set #00001 rear window rubbwr seals made from a mold of my ‘63fj45 OEM stock seals! Making minor adjustments and then they will be stocked at a Cruiser friendly business for everyone to buy.
