Also, that rear window molding - how'd that work out for you? I wish someone reproduced that stuff.

We left it in place and tried to touch it as little as possible. Will try to restore and fill in where it has cracked somehow.

I drive by Smith & Edwards every day on my way to work... you could spend years exploring that place.

Thanks,

Mike

x2 on what Dallas said about the rear window rubbers.

I was wondering about plastic smithing a mold that I can pour liquid latex into. But how to stabilize the latex and UV protect? I haven't gotten that far, just gathered all the plastic smithy tools and have yet to try it out.

And I should say, very nice work on the truck. Looks like you are being very thorough.

Paul

Thanks,

I think those sliding glass windows are some of the coolest things on the truck. I just hope the rubber can last.

You got bugcatchers, sliding rear windows and an interest in contacting these folks re: same?

I see they have an English language website. I definitely think its worth a shot.

While I'm at it I guess I should dig around through my other projects and see what other item I could get them working on as well.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike ,
you can let them
Index1
produce one or two pieces, but this would be too expensive !!
You need some more guys in the States who are interested in new rubber parts too
30 or more would be needed that it make sense I think.
Cheers

Right, what I meant was that if I was going to have them go through the effort on a batch of the sliding glass rubbers I would see what else I could get them going on as well.

I have purchased reproductions of the bug catcher rubber from other people that have done this. Just trying to see what other items are not out there that have not been done yet.

Thanks,

Mike

Looking great :D

You need to get some old steelies for them next and some skinny tires :D

Ya, the wheels and tires are just to roll it around the shop while we finish things up.

Thanks,

Mike
