so what happened with the freeze plugs? Was it the block as well? i didnt follow and did read the other thread. looks liek you got a good find.

I was flushing the engine and didn't have any time after work to finish. It got cold and the block froze. The freeze plugs came out but it didn't help. The block is cracked

Dude, that sucks bad! I dont think it ever gets that cold here. Maybe, but never had something like that happen and I know i have had minimal if 0 antifreeze in a few of my projects while i was working on them. Again man that stinks! What do yo uplan on doing now?

but your in good company, my 65 died of a rod knock within days of me bringing it home, the PO had pulled the dizzy........didn't get it back in all the way.........you can guess the rest
