G'day every one My names Chris but most of my mates call me Waldo, I have an FZJ-75 rv That I brought about 10 months ago, I love the troopy But I hate the 1fz-fe, Its on lpg and is still awful on fuel and power, Its using any where from 20-30Km/l witch at $1.60 p/l is just horrible. I have a HJ-61 with a 12HT that I think I have just traded on a 15B-FT engine, My troopy has the H150f gear box and I'm planning on using that with the 2 piece bell housing from a dyna truck with a M153/4 Box I should know in the next week when the engine will arrive once the conversion starts I'm hoping to have it Done in 3-5 days I will have a few mates helping out on the project Mully, Rooter, and Mad Matt, so it's defiantly do-able in the time frame, other things to consider is changing the whole wiring harness to a HZJ-75 harness changing the tops of the fuel tanks to HZJ items and all associated fuel lines Changing the dash cluster new engine mounts and moving the radiator back closer to the new engine so an intercooler can fit in front of the radiator, Fab a new 3" exhaust new power steering lines and Re plumb the A/C Should be an interesting project and I'm keen to see the final fuel consumption. I work away 2 weeks on 2 weeks off and I'm off to work on Tuesday so hopefully in 2 weeks I should Get the engine and then start the install.

If there's any thing I've over looked or any help or suggestion's please let me know

Thanks Waldo

What sort of loot for the 15bft and what was it originally in.... I've had an eye on the used 15bft motors around here and they seem to be rather pricey and a bit rare.... but definitely a good motor...... I had a 13b with after market turbo but sold before fitting since a mate of mine desperately needed it...

Definitely want pix on the swap from start to finish....

Hey ozwallaby they are pricy and are hard to find I have found 4 motors two for $5500 each one for $8500, and the most frighting off all one for $11500, I'm hoping to find some 3b chassis engine mounts next week I'm not sure if I will also need the engine mount webbing that bolts to the block from a 3b

They're good, but I didn't think THAT go$$od..... crazy pricing I think......

15B-Fs are in the local dyna models, there's a few of them around so shouldn't be as hard to find motors for them as the FT model. Just need to make/find your own manifold and turbo, and put a boost compensator on the pump.
Should be an awesome swap anyway
