I've heard the clutch assembly may b a bit beefier than the 13bt. I think it's the same diameter pressure plate may b a little thicker. I heard to counteract this a few ribs on the bellhousing may need to b cut out.. Am I on the right track lol??

Ok so hav read that the blue block 13bt(88 and later)have an 8 bolt bellhousing setup where as the red block 85-88 have a 6 bolt. I've read that the 14bt is a 8 bolt setup with the flywheel being 6mm thicker.. What would be the best option to make this work considering I have a 6 bolt 13bt bellhousing

Not entirely sure I know it's the big end but don't know how much damage has been done inside. It's got over 400km on the clock so it's going to b in need of rebuilding soon anyway and it's soo hard finding a 13bt it's actually been easier to find the 14bt's. They are the same price but the 14's that I've found are all low km import with a bit more power and torque so makes sense to me to put the bigger b in if it's not too much hassle

Lol yeah I don't think Ile go that high but with the intake I'm goin to intercool it straight away and tweak the fuel up a bit so ile hav a custom set up anyways.think I will aim for about 15 psi I think with 3 inch coming out jus under the door. How do u upload a photo to ur profile Pic ile put a Pic up of my sexy beast

I really like help working out what you did with the fly wheel cause I will have the same issue. Hope you guys can help????? Getting ready to drop the 14bt in.

Rbtsas, I think if you use a BJ7x aluminum bell housing nothing needs to be modified, can just bolt up a 14B/B-T or 15B-F/B-FT but if you use the cast steel one some things need modified.

Check in the diesel forum, there is some info on this there.

Cheers, Allen

Cool because I've put the magnet on the bell housing and it's defiantly alloy. So fingers crossed I don't need to do much mods

Please let us know how you go Rbtsas.

My BJ73 is a very early model (1984, build 677) and has the alloy bellhousing so it's fair to assume BJ7xs have them.

Yeah Dare my 73 is an 85. Definitely has the alloy housing. Wonder why they changed them latter to the cast steel later on?
